Bromley Cricket Club
We were hired to lay asphalt surfacing in place of some of the aging paving slabs found around the cricket club. These were starting to become trip hazards and required increased maintenance, making it simpler and more cost-effective to replace them entirely. Since the client was preparing to install a lift for wheelchair users, we also needed to create a seamless transition from the pathway to this location.
This was an asphalt surfacing project.
The key challenge involved with this project was the lack of accessibility for plant and equipment, meaning that the team had to carefully move everything they needed into place manually. This required additional planning to ensure that all the necessary work could be completed safely, with sufficient consideration given to the risks posed by ‘slips, trips, and falls’ during our operations.
As areas needed to be closed off to the public while we were working, it was also crucial that we had effective communication in place. Our team remained vigilant at all times, ensuring that any members of the public understood what was going on and why.
