Hertfordshire contracts secured for 3rd year running
Glendining Highways road marking division has for the third year running secured the micro-surfacing programme in Hertfordshire, commencing in early March 2016. Micro surfacing is a cost effective surface treatment, installed by laying a thin layer of asphalt emulsion and crushed stone, helping to renew and restore a surface with the ultimate aim of extending the life of the road.
Additionally for the second year running we have been awarded the contract to Hertfordshire County Council’s surface dressing programme. We will commence work on this job in April 2016 on approximately 1 million m2 of surface dressed roads across the county. Surface dressing is a fast, efficient and cost effective means of sealing and protecting the road. It is simply laid over the top of the existing road, restoring skidding resistance and extending surface life.
Any delays from these works will be kept to a minimum thanks to our experience of working in high-pressure environments where a fast turn-around is required. All appropriate planning measures will be taken so that road users know of any closures in advance.
This contract renewal helps to demonstrate our dedication to hard work and customer satisfaction, with Hertfordshire County Council happy with our work for yet another year.
